Some men surprise their partners random, meaningless presents just to look good.
A good man surprises his partner with a thoughtful gift now and then.
If your partner is a really good man, that thoughtful surprise may be having bought two six-packs of your favorite seasonal beer so that you don’t miss it in 2012 due to being out of the country.
BUT
An incredible man will offer to go purchase more of said beer even after his partner completely ruins the surprise by immediately guessing what the surprise gift is.

Yeah, I’d love to go to Germany and drink the beers over there. The beers in Japan are pretty bad. Super watery and not too much flavor

On a side note, I found your blog by a series of randomness. LOL. A friend posted on facebook something from the “ohmygodmywifeisgerman” blog, through which I found your shower post, and then somewhere I saw that your (actual) name and your (blog) name didn’t match up so I started reading older and older posts to find out why you post as Heidi Hefeweizen. The link that is supposed to contain the information is a 404 unfortunately so hopefully I will eventually come across it if I keep going back far enough.
I miss Germany so much and reading these blogs makes me want to move back there. I lived in Butzbach (Hessen) and I miss walking down to the town square to eat at my favorite Eiscafé. Thanks for your blog! I love it!
